![]() How do you say it? “Benga ya” (Again, the V is pronounced as a B) You’ll receive a chipper “ Buenas!” in return and can move on to more important considerations – like how much tortilla and patatas bravas are you going to order for lunch? 9. Or, just stick to the sweet and simple “ Buenas!” to say hello at any time of the day. What does it mean and how is it used? Start your sunny Spanish morning off with a cheerful Buenos días, continue with buenas tardes in the evening and end with buenas noches when it’s time to say goodbye or good night. The Spanish will call you out as a guiri for being generally non-Spanish: eating dinner or going out for evening drinks far too early brandishing extra large maps and cameras on city corners talking really loudly at monuments or while out sightseeing wearing denim shorts with flip flops year round and only ordering sangria. Guiris, pronounced “giri”, are (very obvious) foreigners usually hailing from English-speaking countries or central and northern Europe. What does it mean and how is it used? Anyone wanting to blend in in Spain has done their research on how not to look like a guiri. Often due to a saint’s feast day, these “bridges”, become the best Mondays and Fridays of the year! 7. ![]() What does it mean and how is it used? Every employee’s favorite – and a stereotype of life in Spain – is the puente, or three-day weekend. Many visitors will quickly learn ¿Qué tal? and our fifth expression is another to add to your small talk toolbox: ❼ómo vas?, literally meaning “How are you going?” 6. These greetings are used casually all day – in small talk, such as when meeting friends, with well-known colleagues, chatting with a clerk at the store – so it’s great to know them. What does it mean and how is it used? Spaniards are a friendly bunch, quick to start up a conversation and armed with several ways to ask the classic “How are you?”. How do you say it? “Como bas” (Same thing here – the V is pronounced as a B) You can also use these words to call the attention of a friend, as in “ Tío/tía, come here!”) 5. In the same way English speakers use “dude” or “guy” (“Look at those guys over there!” or “Who said that?” “I don’t know, just some dude.”) Spaniards use tío or tía. What does it mean and how is it used? While these literally mean “uncle,” and “aunt,” they’re also used informally to generally refer to another person. Pleading – ¡Vamos, hombre, por favor! (Aww, come on man, please.)Īs a bonus, this isn’t too strange-sounding to English speakers, because English “man” can be used in much the same way. Greeting – ¡Hombre! Cómo estás? (Hey man! How are you?) Yes/Of course – ¡Claro que sí, hombre! (Of course, or definitely) No – “Do you like your boss?” Qué va, hombre, para nada. What does it mean and how is it used? It literally means “man”, and is also used to affirm or strengthen what you’re saying typically to mean no, yes/of course, to greet or to plead. How do you say it? “Ombre” (the H is silent) (“We’re meeting at 11am tomorrow, vale?” or “Call me later to organize that.” Vale, I’ll call you.) After a while in Spain you’ll notice that people tend to use it twice in reply ( vale, vale) which is endearing! 3. It’s used as a way of agreeing or affirming what someone has said. It comes from the verb valer (to be worth, as in ¿cuánto vale? – How much is it?) but means so much more. What does it mean and how is it used? Very much a part of the Spaniards’ vocabulary_,_ meaning OK, alright, sounds good, I understand or no problem. How do you say it? “Bale” (the V turns into a B) Young people pepper their conversations with this adjective, responding to their friends’ stories with a chorus of ¡Qué guay! (“How cool!”) 2. What does it mean and how is it used? It means cool, awesome or great. Thinking about learning Spanish abroad? Make sure you learn these Spanish expressions and use them on anyone and everyone who’ll listen – it’ll impress the locals and ensure that you’ll have a much easier time making friends and fitting in. Spanish is one of the world’s most widely-spoken languages and Castilian (the version spoken in Spain) charms expats and tourists as quickly as the country’s narrow cobblestoned streets and tasty tapas. ![]() If you like to start jupyter from the terminal instead of the instruction above: you can check the anaconda navigation on MAC and Linux Terminal follow "Run Python in a Jupyter Notebook" section (in the middle of the page) to start your first notebook. ![]() open Anaconda navigation (based on your OS) Anaconda Jupyter Notebook MAC,Windows, and Linux After installing anaconda (version 3.x), you can follow the steps below to start jupyter notebook. Here, I’ll let you know about the ten best car headliner adhesives. A headliner is an excellent material for reducing noise. This headliner doesn’t allow it to come inside the car. The rooftop of your car absorbs the heat. But the headliner does more than this it works as a heat insulation material. So wrinkling is not only a glue issue after using the new adhesive, it’s more about attaching the headliner on an old foam that is brittle after 10-15 year’s service. That’s what causes a falling headliner even after spraying new headliner adhesive, the headliner wrinkles because of the crumbly foam. But most of the time, the orange foam is all crumbly, and it looks like something brutal happened to it. Not only the glue that was used previously causes the headliner to wrinkle, but if you take out the headliner from the board, the foam will be visible. The headliner adhesive can tolerate heat and doesn’t wrinkle your headliner. Also, double-sided tape has glue that melts in extreme weather conditions. ![]() It’s a hassle to cut double-sided tapes and set them inside the car ceiling. Now the last option you have is double-sided tape. Using other types of glue may influence the headliner, you never know which chemical is harmful to the headliner, or you’ll see wrinkles after attaching the headliner. Isn’t it? Then there is no reason to use a pin to starch the headliner because it only ruins the inner decoration of your car. So why should you use a headliner adhesive instead of pinning the headliner or using staples, hair spray, or double-sided tape? Do you want to use something to attach the headliner only because you want your car to look better from the inside? That’s only possible if you use a headliner and fabric adhesive. That’s why you need something that ensures proper gluing, resists falling headliners, and can tolerate extreme heat. Because glues mostly lack heat resistance. Headliner adhesive is a kind of headliner glue, but you can’t tell it is glue. So pull the stretched part apart and again stick it on the top gently. Sometimes there’ll be a little stretched. Edited Augby Art-Jġ) I am playing off/ and online, the problems are the same.Ģ) Just from the beginning I am only using the "sim mode". That's why, whenever setting up controls in DCS for any airplane, it's critically important not only to make new assignments, but to remove all the old, duplicated ones as well. By default DCS assigns automatically numerous functions to various buttons and switches in TH Warthog, many of them being unnecessarily duplicated - for example the little slew button on the throttle gets sometimes assigned to ailerons and elevator, causing the plane to depart whenever you put your fingers on the throttle (been there, done that :D). 2 - as Bounder said, turn on (Ctrl-Enter) controllers indicator and see if any unwanted inputs appear when the plane starts flying strange. This is the DCS Spitfire section, so you certainly won't get many answers about Flaming Cliffs content over here (hopefully you bookmarked this very thread, otherwise, you might forget where you posted it yourself ) ) I would suggest posting in a relevant section of the forum first. Also, if you suspect it's a joystick hardware issue, when you encounter problems you could also try going into "game controls" under control panel in windows and examine individual control properties and see if anything is odd there? Edited Augby Bounder When things go wrong you might get information from that. ![]() I'd definitely first try Amazingme's suggestion of checking for conflicting control inputs in DCS but if you can't find anything there it might then be worth checking control inputs when things go wrong - have you tried running the controls input window in DCS when you are flying? It is a small window that shows you controller inputs and can be enabled by pressing "RCtrl + Enter" together on your keyboard. Are you playing offline or online and does this problem have a pattern, for example it occurs in certain missions or aircraft specifically? Could you be running some flights in "game mode" and others in "sim mode" - I believe it is possible to have different controls setup for the two modes. It seems odd to me that your controls are fine most of the time but from time to time you are encountering issues. Your thoughts are very much appreciated, thank you for your input and response to my questions. The electric is turned off in the cockpit without doing anything. the plane stears in one direction and is doing a roll again and again (I am not using paddles for the side rudder, it is placed on the buttons 11,12 on the flight stick) When I then operate these buttons, I can get it under control again (but I haven't priorly used it to cause this behaviour) It normally runs very smoothly and I can play the game without problems.īut from time to time (every 2-3 hours), the game acts strangely.
